The following is a passage from one of my favorite books and the inspiration for the title of my blog, "Diary of a Mad Bride" by Laura Wolf.
~There are so many emotional moments prior to a wedding. Some are euphoric, some are devastating. Peaks and valleys. Just like rest of life... The funny thing is that although we place so much energy and importance on our wedding day, it isn't the biggest day of our life. The biggest day of our life is every day thereafter. Because it is not the pledge to love someone that matters most, but act of fulfilling that pledge that is most important. In others words, it's only just begun.~
During the daily grind when questions about dress lengths and fittings and cake tastings and ten thousand other things overwhelm me this is quote that I recite over and over in my head. The party is not important and neither are the outfits. None of that really matters. I think this is one of the most important things for brides to be to remember. Something will go wrong, not just the day of but on many occasions prior and the most important thing is to remember that you are starting a life with the man you love. The rest is just details.
